Fasting for Weight Loss

Additionally, when you fast, your insulin levels decrease. Insulin is a hormone that is responsible for regulating your blood sugar levels. When your insulin levels are high, your body is in a state of fat storage. When your insulin levels are low, your body is in a state of fat burning. It is important however to gain the correct supervision prior to embarking on longer periods of abstinence.

Water Fasting
Water fasting is our passion, our lifestyle, and our main gig. We practice what we preach. All our professional team have experienced the benefits of water fasting and personally endorse this unconventional means to living a healthier happier life. Water fasting has been scientifically proven to reduce inflammation in the body which is the underlying cause of a range of health issues. 3, 5 ,7 or 10 Day Detox/Fast
Depending on your personal and medical circumstances, we offer a 3 -, 5-, 7- and 10-day fast or juice detox. Our retreats currently run 4 x per year for blocks of 2 weeks at a time. Although you may not be staying with us for the entire 14 days, the retreat begins on day one for everyone. Please be advised that if you are doing a water fast, you will be required to stay for 2-3 days after you complete your fast so we can reintroduce food in a safe and sensible environment.
Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting has become widely popular in recent years, yet it’s not always that easy to get started at home. If you have always wanted to do intermittent fasting, yet are distracted by the delights of your refrigerator, dining out, social events or family meal time routines, a visit to our retreat might just be the kick start you are looking for. Meditation and Stretch Classes
Meditation has the potential to provide numerous benefits for both your mental and physical health. Our aim is to support you in enhancing your emotional well-being, reducing stress and anxiety, and improving your focus and concentration through regular meditation practice. Furthermore, incorporating meditation into your daily routine can lead to improvements in your sleep quality.
Our stretch classes can be a beneficial resource for enhancing physical health, flexibility, and overall well-being. Irrespective of your age or fitness level, you can experience the advantages of gentle stretching, particularly when your energy levels are depleted due to fasting.

Breathwork & Cold Therapy
Breathwork and ice baths are by no means a new concept and have been practiced for centuries. More recently they has become popular with the emergence of people like Wim Hof in modern society, and renowned for the enormous health benefits.
Depending on where you are in your fasting journey with us, we do offer breath work and ice baths at our country and coastal retreats. Although these mini workshops are conducted and supervised onsite by one of our team, we may not permit ice baths for individuals after day 2 or 3 of a water fast. You will be assessed accordingly.
